Hey, I'm Jessica
I’m the photographer behind Brightside Portraits. I grew up in Alpena and have always appreciated the beauty of Northern Michigan. I love being outside and exploring, whether I’m out on my bike or just walking around town, I’m always noticing little spots that would make a great backdrop for a session.
When I’m not photographing people, I enjoy taking pictures of nature just for fun—birds, plants, and close‑up shots of pollinators. Photography has always been my way of noticing the details and moments that matter.

A little direction when you need it, plenty of space when you don’t. I want your session to feel calm, comfortable, and natural. No stiff posing, no pressure — just honest moments, good light, and a relaxed experience that lets you be yourself.
